jbwSTUDIOS is a not-for-profit theatre organization with a writers’ hub where original works of art are composed and relayed to the society with the intent to use the Arts as a tool to communicate strong values, transforming lives. Our style is predicated on artistic excellence, education and community engagement.

We are engaged in the creation of scripted plays, adaptations, readings, production of plays, radio dramas, and theatre-for-development.

Our work creates ongoing conversations about our experience of living in our communities. We are interested in how to use theatre to engage a wider audience from a far more diverse background than currently witnessed; bringing communities together and re-empowering the theatre with its most importance – human.

We make our projects and plays through a process of research and development, early-stage scratch (experimental performances) and professional productions.

We hope to use theatre to recreate and light-up our world.
